This is us!
(Sami, Cherub, Krista (our team leader) Carly and ME!)
The five of us are just getting settled in here in Southern Thailand for our six weeks with
Step Ahead Ministry.
During our time here we will be visiting Child Development Centers (like pre-schools) there we get to share the love of Christ through playing and helping with lunch and nap time!
In the evening we have a youth English class of about 7 students and an adult class.
I have been so blessed with the opportunity to teach a student one on one. His name is Best! (nickname)
Best’s mom works for Step Ahead so he is here almost everyday with us. Best struggles in social environments and with learning. No schools will take him. Doctors have said he seems to have Autism or something along those lines.
The moment I ment this boy my heart was set on doing whatever I can to show him Jesus and His love.
There is more to come on Best, he has already taught me so much!
Please continue to pray for me and my team. Almost all of our students and pre-schoolers are Buddhist. There are so few Christian around here. These kids need Jesus. They need Jesus more than they need English! Pray for understanding and that Gods word and love will overcome any barrier a language can make. Also thank God for what he is already doing!
It’s time for dinner now and I have brownies to put in the oven!
Praying for so many blessings to shower over all of you this Christmas!
(Supports and Strangers: Thank you!)
In Thailand and still baking…geez! We were blessed to have a plate of cookie from your house this week from your momma…they were so good and such a reminder of you and your presence here even though you aren’t present. I could really use you to come over and do my hair…love you so much sweet child! Continue your work there and know that we are praying for you! Xoxoxo
Well I made brownies from scratch and we do have an oven but I couldn’t get it lit… only Brad, an intern here know how. But he hadn’t come home and we were eating all the batter so I changed them to brownie pancakes instead… topped with peanut butter!!! They were amazing! Miss you and love you!
Good Morning Kacey and Team Free Refills. I love that name. lol 🙂
It’s always a great start to Monday to see your latest blog and be reminded that God is never at rest.
Best is a lucky little guy getting the chance to spend time with and learn from you. I’m looking forward to reading all about your adventures with him.
Praying for you always.
Love,
Heather
