The other day someone told me transition is actually good.

“yuck, yuck, yuck, I don’t believe you” (my response)

I was thinking your just saying that

because we are leaving one place

and transitioning to another right now

but I continued to listen as he explained:

as much as many of us hate it

and as uncomfortable as it is

and as inconvenient it is

…it is good for us.

That’s helpful, good to know… not…

I am sitting here…

trying to make sense of all this transition…

fighting too see the “good” in it

The Goodbyes

The new teams

The different everything

Language

People

Food

Culture

It all seems so difficult, so messy, so unnecessary…

So how is this so GOOD?

I asked God this… because if there is anytime I would disagree with this

“transition is good statement”,

it’s now.

He so graciously responded

…because you have no other choice but to rely on me.

Hmm…

urgg…

blehh…

sighhhh….

It doesn’t matter the response…

It’s true.

In Honduras I was developing relationships and adapting to the point of comfort.
and with comfort comes confidence
and with confidence comes the little opportunity to lose sight of it all

the chance that we lose sight of who gets the glory

why I am here

and what my focus is.

In transition, I really have no option but to keep my eyes set on Him.

I have no where else to turn,

No where else to run.

So I am learning,

in the midst of this transition from Honduras to Thailand

To be grateful for transition…

What a blessing it is to know the only place I can turn is to My Father

My Lord

My Savior

My King

My Best friend.
