About a week ago, when I was still back at home I found a baby squirrel in my backyard. It was right beneath a tree laying lifelessly on the ground, from the way he looked it seemed he had taken a what should have been a death fall and needed some help. So this baby squirrel ended up in my hands that evening.
This was a bigger commitment than I expected, especially with this Immersion trip just days away. But, with a quick trip to the grocery store and scavenging around the house this little guy had a home with a heating pad, cozy blankets and nutrition heading his way.
not only will I learn the ropes on living outside in a tent for 3 months
the dos and don’ts of our co-ed bathroom
how to repair a leaky sleeping pad
and icy cold showers are not for mornings!
I will learn the release, the handing off, the goodbye is tough but the results to follow will be life changing.
Thank you God for that little baby squirrel.
